Membership Requirements for Adults
1. Proof of Identification
Two Valid Forms of Trinidad & Tobago National Picture Identification:
- National Identification Card
- Passport
- Drivers Permit/ License (accepted with Birth Certificate to verify nationality if used as the only form of identification)
If only one National Identification is available, it must be authorized by the respective Branch Manager.
2. Proof of Residential Address (Documents must not be older than 3 months)
- Utility Bill (Water, Electricity, Telephone, Cable/Internet, Tax assessment OR
- Bank Statement OR
- Rental/Lease Agreement & Utility Bill from the property owner/landlord.
In the instance where the utility bill is not in the applicant’s name, they must present a copy of the owner’s national identification and complete the address verification letter of authorization. In the case of a rental or lease agreement the rental receipt must be provided (not older than 3 months).
3. Proof of Income
- Job Letter (not older than 3 months) OR
- Most current monthly pay slip
- Retirees - Letter from entity (Government/Private Institution outlining payment details)
- Business Owner/Self Employed persons. Visit our website to obtain the relevant documents needed or call our Call Center at 800-4ECU.
Pay slips and or job letters should, at least, indicate the Employer or Company name, amount and frequency of income, and job title of the employee. For Adult individuals who are not employed, completion of a financial support letter, job letter or copy of the most recent pay slip and copy of the national identification from the person servicing the account will be required.

Membership Requirements for Persons 0 to 17 Years Old
1. Proof of Identification
- Must present original birth certificate.
- Passport and or National Identification Card can also be provided.
- Parent or Legal Guardian valid form of National Identification.
- Proof of Legal Guardianship where applicable
Documents As per Membership Requirements for Adults
- Proof of Residential Address
- Proof of Income of Parent/Legal Guardian
Only if the parent/legal guardian does not have a utility bill in their name, will completion of the Verification of Address letter be required.
