How To Become a Member of Eastern Credit Union
Proof of Identification
- Bring two valid forms of Trinidad & Tobago National Picture Identification. This could be your National Identification Card, Passport, or Drivers Permit/License (paired with a Birth Certificate if it’s your sole ID).
- If only one form of ID is available, a quick authorization from our Branch Manager will pave the way forward.
Proof of Residential Address (Documents within the last 3 months)
- Utility Bill, Bank Statement, or Rental/Lease Agreement (receipt not older than 3 months), alongside the property owner’s Utility Bill if the bill is not in your name.
- Address Verification Letter completed and signed if you’re not the bill’s named individual. (For Address Verification include copy of owner’s national identification)
Proof of Income
- Job Letter or most recent pay slip for employed individuals.
- For retirees, a letter outlining payment details.
- Business Owners or Self-Employed individuals can find the necessary documentation on our web site or by contacting our Call Center at 800-4ECU
- Business Owners or Self Employed– Projected Income for 3 years (completed cash flow projection) or Audited Financials.
- Retirees – A letter from National Insurance Board (NIB) or the organisation they worked with advising of the pension to be received.

Registration cost
- 120 TTD ($10 Registration Fee, $10 to Shares , $100 to Special Shares Account)
